She earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating cum laude, from Texas A&M University—Kingsville in 2012. She went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2016, then graduated magna cum laude from the University of Lynchburg, earning a Doctor of Medical Science degree with a fellowship in emergency medicine.

Courtney Phenix is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is furthering her dedication to dermatology by becoming a Diplomate Fellow.

During her leisure time, Courtney enjoys exercising, traveling, baking and spending time with family and friends.
